In one case, it is called prejudice ...and in the other case it can be called ignorance, or indifference. In both cases, it can be called the latter two.
What do I mean??
Well, something could happen in my neighborhood, as an isolated case ...and I could claim that the problem exists everywhere. Or something could happen all the time in a different area, and because I have not experienced it ...then I could claim that it is not a problem.
I looked up several listings, yet I find it most fitting to list one, as an example...of what one person listed as the greatest injustices. You can see that the person was not just speaking of the present, but it was listed as in our country, so the person could not be blamed for not listing many global concerns.
Okay, without further delay, here is the list:
- Slavery (Though not legal in our country, yet people still have hatred towards those unlike themselves ...and yes, that includes something as absurd as color. If the question had included global concerns, there would be a very diverse view on whether the slaves were Jewish people in Egypt thousands of years ago, or more recent Irish, Chinese, or Africans. And how knowledgeable are we of present slaves in countries our nation imports goods heavily from??)
- Genocide of native Americans (including the 'trail of tears')
- Internment of Japanese
- Human experimentation/Eugenics programs ...including using military persons as experiments.
- Jim Crow laws/Segregation
- McCarthy and Hoover in the 50's ...political dissident terror
- Wealth in the hands of the few
- Voting rights
- Civil rights of marriage
- U.S. involvement in war/& the Manhattan Project, developing nuclear bombs
It seems that the 'Wealth in the hands of the few' is a huge focus currently in our society. The government seems to take interest in those who are rich, yet there are those the government shares interest with who do not contribute to the direct payment of the working of government. Hedge funds are not subjected to tax, and allow those who make their fortunes the freedom to spend their money the way they want ...something most of us are not free from taxes to do.
Some of these people also help fuel the denigrated image of police forces ...yet, we need protection and pay taxes for it. How can a person play such a significant role as to work for the peaceful transition of communism to capitalism in Hungry, profit from almost breaking the Bank of England, and helping his own mom reach a personal goal promoted by the Hemlock Society of which she was a member? And at the same time it seems like the United States of America is a conquest of individual aspiration.
Who do we feel is the biggest cheat??
What do we personally feel we are most cheated out of??
In the beginning, the temptation was, "your eyes will be opened, and you will be as ____, knowing ____ & ____" ...and we usually respond with the attitude of, "Whatever!!"
The biggest lie, the biggest cheat, the biggest injustice ...is in believing the lie that cheats us out of eternity with our Creator. And that lie is often being taught in our public schools.
One of the biggest injustices was when God was not to be taught in schools, and likewise Jesus not to be shared in the public square. But, the biggest injustice is if we remove the value of Him in our homes ....and therefore show no desire to personally accept Him.

The biggest injustice is not believing that the Destroyer, Deceiver exists...but, in believing what he would have us believe.
But, that can be easily overcome by accepting Jesus, believing what we should.
